It’s all new and fresh and young,
Glistening like promise on a spring flower.
My fragile, tender silence begs you:
Do not break me for I am weak.
You, with your warm, enveloping skin,
and deep dark, dangerous eyes.
I feel my future in your gentle kiss,
Sense no goodbyes in your eyes.
You are mine.
And I jump into your pool,
sacrifice myself for just one minute more,
to be only yours.
My heart is racing to catch you,
beating so hard it might just burst,
I have an unquenchable thirst and desire
for you and us, for this, our love.
Let it rain.

A hue of spring flushes the cheeks of the world today,
She breathes warm breezes over our grateful skin
And sings with a voice of insects humming and birdsong.
Even the dirt seems brighter and more welcoming somehow.
A sky of deep blue eyes watches us
as we creep our way outside.
Away from the dark, brooding winter and into the light.
Into the promise of tomorrow, the promise of a future filled with sunlight.
Poem four – http://napowrimo.com
A painted sky gleaming with gold lies to me,
The cruel wind blasts my cheeks and threatens to tear tears from my eyes,
The brutal cold moves up through the bench, into my skin, my bones and to the very core of me,
Wild air caresses my legs and slips inside any crevass of clothing left unguarded,
Stray strands of hair tickle my nose and distract my streaming eyes,
The piercing frost creeps gently along behind me as I walk away,
reclaiming its land once more from the receding sun,
I head hurriedly along towards the distant lights that signal warmth and home.
